PMA - The hidden key
PMA - The hidden key to the control system of our physiology
Our brain does not only store the facts of an experience, but also the emotions of those experiences. Especially extreme emotions can lead to severe health problems. Emotions are felt in our body because of changes in our physiology. These changes are caused by physiological orders from our brain. Our brain will only give these orders when there are impulses that activate them. These impulses are caused by the incoming information that comes in through our senses. The impulses that we get through our senses become aware to us because our brain compares the incoming information with the already stored information. This process happens consciously and unconsciously. This comparison material consists of everything we have experienced and learned in our life. Our comparison material is strictly individual. These experiences weren't just stored as dry facts without feelings. The emotions we felt at the moment of the experience are also stored. The emotions are stored like physiological orders and are connected to the rest of the information. If, at any time in the future, a stored memory is brought up as comparison material, not only the facts are brought up, but also the physiology that was linked to that memory. This physiology becomes active and we feel the same emotion in our body again.
Your comparison material determines your emotion
Emotion is mainly shaped by earlier experiences. This is the reason why, for instance, a person could really enjoy petting a big dog when at the same time another person would start to run out of fear by seeing the same dog. These emotions are not caused by genetic aspects, but because of our experiences.
If you were ever bitten by a big dog as a child, the sight of a big dog will bring up very different emotions than someone who grew up with big dogs and who has very pleasant memories of the big dog. The person who grew up with dogs will not become sick by the activated comparison material. This material is stored in so-called clusters. A cluster is a collection of data, stored all over your brain and connected by a code that makes one memory. Clusters are not dangerous!
The danger for our health and happiness lies in so-called bad clusters. Let's see why.
Bad clusters are "jamming" stations for our physiology and they make us sick
Non-threatening experiences are stored in our brain as harmless clusters. During life-threatening situations something strange happens in our brain. In these situations our brain will short-circuit. Because of the short-circuit in our brain the information coming in through our senses in that life-threatening situation is stored in a way that the conscious part of the brain won't be able to recall it.
In such a situation a bad cluster is created stored as a collection of data that we can't remember consciously. But such an experience should be 'burned in' into your brain! You should be able to remember every single detail! Strange enough this is not the case. Just think about a threatening experience that you had in your own life. Ask yourself and find out how many details, like shapes, colors, smells, taste or touch, you still can remember. How often don't you hear people say: "How I did it or how I came out of it I don't know, but I did make it". Nevertheless these 'forgotten' details are stored; they are even 'burned' into our brain cells. Why is it then that we can't remember them later on?
This is because they where stored unanalyzed and without a code. The conscious part of our brain cannot bring them back in the 'index', because the codes are missing. The data of a normally registered experience (cluster) is stored all over the brain in neurons which are connected to each other. However, the data of a bad cluster is stored in the same neurons as the data of non-traumatic (cluster) memories.
For that reason bad clusters are also used as comparison material when the similarity between the present observations and the stored bad cluster data reaches the right threshold. The emotions (physiology) of such a bad cluster experience are much more intense than the emotions of an everyday experience.
As soon as a bad cluster is activated as comparison material, the physiology that was linked to it at the time of the bad cluster experience is activated. When the bad cluster physiology stays active for a longer period of time the effects to our body and health will be disastrous. Furthermore, they even seem to be the cause of all of our mental and physical complaints.

For example
How does it work in real life? The following illustration can help to make things more clear. In the first picture we see a girl who becomes the victim of a robbery. It is needless to explain that this is an extremely frightening experience for her. How does her body respond? Among other things she would produce more adrenaline and cortisol (stress hormone). This will cause her heart to beat faster, she will start to sweat, her intestines will cramp up, she will get rubber legs and feel like fainting. This moment will leave a very strong impression. It may even make a stronger impression than anything she ever experienced in her life. Will she be able to remember this?
She will probably tell you that she will never forget this as long as she lives. But can she really consciously remember every detail? Reseach of thousands of these victims have proved that this is usually not the case!
She remembers very clearly that she was robbed and that she was scared to death. However, don't ask her if the robber had a hat on, or what color his pants, jacket or shirt were or what kind of gun he was using. She will not remember these kind of details. Didn't she store these details? Absolutely! The situation was much too important. Every detail has been stored. How is it then that she cannot remember the details? Her brain stored the details in a bad cluster. Therefore the details where stored away uncoded and unanalyzed.
Years later
Some years later the same girl, now grown up, has to give a speech to a group at a party. During the speech she suddenly feels bad. Her heart starts to beat faster, she starts to sweat, her intestines cramp up, and she feels like fainting.
She doesn't understand! She starts reasoning: "Maybe it's to warm here, or maybe there is not enough oxygen here. Maybe the wine I drank was to strong or maybe the meal was to heavy." The actual reason for her complaints though is the activated bad cluster and the physiology attached to it that was all created twenty years earlier. How does this work?
Every neuron in our brain has a specific task
Every neuron in our brain has it's own specific task. One neuron does not store a whole experience; it just stores one specific aspect of an experience. One neuron only stores one specific color, smell, shape, movement, taste, etc.
For example, this means that just one neuron (or a combination of neurons) is capable of storing the color red. It doesn't matter if this color shows up in a hat, door, blouse, car, trousers, etc. As soon as our eyes observe this specific color of red, the neurons that house this color are activated automatically. Through a code, stored in another part of out brain, several neuron combinations are joined together to form one memory.
When this material is activated it normally will produce a healthy, non-threatening cluster or memory however there is the likelihood that it could also activate an unhealthy memory or a "bad" cluster.
The real cause
In our example the woman may have activated hundreds of clusters as comparison material just by looking at the group of people. Activated also as comparison material is the twenty year old bad cluster. Why? Because there is enough similarity in the several details between the robbery and the present situation. Look at the similarities:

Present situation
Red dress of the woman
Green curtains
Blue suit of the man
Black microphone (pointed at her)
Bad cluster
Red jacket
Green hat
Blue shoes and pants
Black gun (pointed at her)
Our subconscious doesn't reason and doesn't feel
"But aren't these two situations completely different? The friendly people don't pose any kind of a threat to her, do they? You can't compare this situation to the robbery she experienced twenty years before!" This is all correct and correctly reasoned. The bad part however is that the mechanisms in our subconscious, unlike our conscious, does not reason. Our subconscious mechanisms only analyze without any feeling or any kind of reasoning. Our subconscious works as constant as a computer based on the simple rule stimilus/response.
The colors and shapes you observe activate neurons with a specific task and with that the stored comparison material. Unfortunately, the bad cluster is also stored here. With the activated material the physiological orders linked to this material also are executed, causing the woman to feel bad. When these memory moments would stay in her everyday surroundings, her physiology would be permanently disturbed, resulting in mental and physical complaints.
The effect of a PMA session
The PMA® (Progressive Mental Alignment®) method is a completely new approach for solving mental and physical problems by using specific questions. During the whole PMA session the client will stay completely conscious and aware. It is a very conscious and direct approach of the client's problems that were caused by the wrongly stored memories (the bad clusters).
The bad clusters are brought back to his conscious memory and as soon as this happens the client will feel the emotions, attached to the bad cluster, fade away in seconds. These devastating emotional reactions will never return. At that moment your brain makes the connections that it failed to make at the time the trauma was experienced.
All the data is supplied with the correct code, causing the extreme physiology felt at the moment of the trauma to disappear forever. It doesn't mean you fight the symptoms, you will experience the mental and physical complaints connected to the bad cluster will disappear forever. Therefore the client doesn't have to 'learn to deal' with the emotional pain from his past. The negative physiology is simply eliminated forever!
